First month

Sera has officially surpassed the one month mark and turned 5 weeks old on Tuesday. We went to the doctor today for her well baby check-up and found that our little Sera has grown quite a bit.
Sera now weighs 8 lbs and 9 oz and has grown to 21 inches. Her height and weight are at the 50th percentile, while her head circumference is at the 75th percentile. She has outgrown some of her Newborn clothes, but does not yet fit into 0-3 month clothes. She still wears Newborn sized diapers, going through 10+ per day. She eats 24-36 oz of formula per day, typically feeding every 3-4 hours. She smiles more and enjoys kicking. She has much better head and neck control and can hold her head up and look around the room when held upright. We are still trying to get her schedule/routine straight and she typically sleeps in 3 hour stretches. However, there are some frustrating nights when she seems to have day and night confused.

Overall, she seems to be a very happy baby and we feel like we've really lucked out. Although we have had some hard days, the wonderful days outnumber the frustrating ones and we enjoy watching her grow and develop.
